Hazardous waste disposal – an American case history.

AE&E - Von Roll WTI began operation in 1993. This plant, designed for thermal processing of hazardous waste, is located in East Liverpool, Ohio, in North America’s industrial heartland, where demand is strong for environmentally responsible disposal capabilities.

Safety and positive side-effects

Thermal processing is considered the safest way to eliminate hazardous waste without danger to people or the environment. Pollutants are destroyed by incineration at high temperature, and complex methods are used to purify the gases generated during this process. One positive side-effect is that the energy released during combustion can be converted into electricity and district heating.

AE&E - Von Roll WTI not only meets but, in fact, outperforms the strict environmental criteria imposed by U.S. environmental authorities. This innovative technology can meet the needs of the future as well.
